Commemoration ceremony dedicated to 15th anniversary of passing away to eternity of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev
On December 12, 2018 there was held a commemoration ceremony by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania dedicated to the 15th anniversary of passing away to eternity of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev at the Tei parc – Heydar Aliyev Avenue located in Bucharest city.
At the commemoration ceremony were participating representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania, “SOCAR Petrolium SA” company, board members of the Azerbaijan – Romania Friendship Association, Romania – Azerbaijan Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Romania – Azerbaijan Cultural and Youth Association, citizens of Azerbaijan living and studying in Romania.
During the ceremony the guests left carnations to Heydar Aliyev’s monument and a moment of silence was observed.
The event was continued at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania.
Speaking at the event H.E. Dr. Huseyn N. Najafov, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Romania gave information about the life and activity of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. The Ambassador mentioned that Heydar Aliyev assumed the responsibility of Azerbaijan, saved the state and the nation of Azerbaijan of hard and strict tests of history, created an independent country we call modern Azerbaijan and its present realities, laid a reliable foundation for its bright future. It was emphasized that restoration and richening of the statehood traditions of Azerbaijan in late XX century, strengthening of independence of Azerbaijan and making it eternal and firm, assurance of the country’s dynamic economic development, rapid growth of its international prestige was guaranteed thanks to the fruitful activity of National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev.
The event was continued by screening a documentary film about the life and activity of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
